When left standard, the BMW M235i in both coupe and convertible guises, acts as the perfect middle ground between ‘regular’ 2-Series models and the M4. For those looking for extra performance who can’t wait for the M2 arrive, German tuning company Dahler has revealed its modifications for the car.

From a performance standpoint, the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder has been tweaked to now deliver 390 hp which is actually more than the M2 is tipped to pump out. Thanks to the additional power, the M235i Cabriolet by Dahler can accelerate to 100 km/h in a mere 4.2 seconds as well as a 288 km/h top speed.

Beyond the engine tweaks, Dahler has also fettled with the sports car’s suspension system while also fitting a new set of 18-inch wheels.
