Official: G-Power BMW X6 M with 650hp

G-Power has just unveiled its range of upgrades for the latest BMW X6 M. As we’ve come to expect from the German tuner, its modifications for the X6 M are both visual and mechanical in nature.

Most significantly, G-Power has created the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module and Bi-Tronik 2 V1 ECU remap. Whichever is selected by the customer, power from the vehicle’s twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 is bumped by 75 hp and 80 Nm of torque. That brings the final figures to 650 hp at 6500 rpm and 830 Nm between 2500 and 5500 rpm. Thanks to this additional power and torque, the G-Power BMW X6 M is capable of sprinting to over 300 km/h.

The Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module is a plug and play device placed between the factory ECU and engine. By comparison, the Bi-Tronik 2 V1 conversion involves remapping the standard ECU. It allows customers to tweak the throttle response and power delivery characteristics of the engine.

Elsewhere, the G-Power Hurricane RR forged alloy wheels are offered for the car. They are sized at 23×11 at all four corners and shod with 315/25 Michelin tyres.

“With its peerless combination of imposing appearance and sports car

performance, the BMW X6 M (F86) has quickly established itself as the

King of the SUV class.

Now the G-Power upgrade for the X6 M’s twin-turbo V8 increases

output by 75 hp and 80 Nm, and the resulting 650 hp/478 kW and 830

Nm of torque propels this high performance SUV into the supercar

league.

The key to this transformation is the G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power

module or the equivalent Bi-Tronik 2 V1 ECU remap, each of which has

specific advantages. The knowhow behind these upgrades comes out of

30 years of experience in engine development, crowned by seven high-

speed world records, the most spectacular being the 372.1 km/h set by

the G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RR.

Key Facts: G-POWER X6 M (F86)

• 650 hp / 478 kW at 6,500 rpm (+75 hp / 55 kW)

• 830 Nm at 2,500 rpm-5,500 rpm (+80 Nm)

• V-max: over 300 km/h

• G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module from 3,500 euro net

or Bi-Tronik 2 V1 remap from 3,189 euro net

• Vmax increase, from 668 euro net

• 23-inch HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels, 8,399 euro net

The Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module is a plug and play device placed

between the factory ECU and engine. The power module remains

inactive under partial load conditions, all incoming data passing

through without change. However, a demand for full throttle instantly

triggers the unique fuelling, ignition and boost curves that create an

additional 75 hp and 80 Nm of torque.

To ensure total engine protection and longevity, the G-POWER Bi-

Tronik 5 V1 module only comes online when the prescribed oil

temperature is reached, and is deactivated when the engine coolant

reaches the factory permitted maximum temperature. The standard

diagnostic and engine protection systems remain unaffected. The

installation of the system is simple plug and play, and is just as easily

uninstalled.

PRESS RELEASE – BMW Models

In parallel with the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module G-POWER also offers their

Bi-Tronik 2 V1 upgrade, which involves bespoke remapping of the

factory ECU.

Where the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module is a one size fits all solution, the

bespoke remapping procedure of the Bi-Tronik 2 V1 conversion allows

the individual wishes of the customer vis-à-vis throttle response and

power delivery characteristics to be written into the software.

Additionally, this allows the engineers to take into account every single

piece of upgraded hardware, such as free-flow air filters and high-

grade sports catalysts, making full use of every potential avenue to

optimise performance. Naturally, all the standard diagnostic and

engine protection systems are maintained.

In addition to engine upgrades the G-Power X6 M benefits from the

ultra-light HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels. These are sized

11.0×23-inch and shod with 315/25ZR23 Michelin high-performance

tyres.

Forged from aircraft-grade aluminium, these very strong and ultra-

light alloy wheels are normally available in “Jet Black”, “Gun Metal

Grey” and “Stardust Silver” finishes. If you opt for the “Diamond Cut”

finish, this wheel is also available partially or completely polished.

G-Power also offers a bespoke service with the possibility of a personal

signature on each wheel up to a maximum of 15 characters.”
