Production-Spec Maserati Alfieri Rendered

It is no secret that alongside developing the new Maserati Levante SUV, the Italian manufacturer is hard at work creating what will become its staple sports car, the Alfieri. As the name implies, the car will be heavily based around the Alfieri unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motor Show and now we have the following awesome rendering of the car depicting how it could look.

Earlier in the year, Maserati chief marketing officer Saad Chehab confirmed that the production-spec Maserati Alfieri will look almost identical to the concept. In fact, he revealed that the concept’s styling is 95 per cent production ready.

With that in mind, the following rendering is very true to the original concept but includes some subtle modifications. These include tweaked headlights, a slightly different bonnet as well as newly shaped black mesh in the front air intakes.

Power for the Maserati Alfieri is likely to come from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder currently available in the Ghibli. In base specification, that engine could be tuned to put out about 410 hp while the range-topping Alfieri could deliver upwards of 520 hp with the same powerplant.

The Alfieri is expected to be priced similarly to the GranTurismo but where the GranTurismo provides a more luxurious GT dr3iving experience, the Alfieri will be more dedicated to performance.
