TVR accepting deposits for new sports car

TVR is taking deposits for its brand new sports car set to reach the market in 2017.

The decision to open ordering books for the new TVR earlier than originally planned comes on the back of the overwhelming reception TVR’s impending return generated. Prospective owners will be able to secure their vehicles with a 5000 pound deposit. It has been confirmed that already, hundreds of people have put down deposits for the yet-to-be-revealed sports car.

Discussing the car’s reception, TVR operations director John Chasey said “We’ve been totally blown away by the reaction to the new car. Our phone lines and online enquiry system went into meltdown when the news was announced, and we decided that we must begin to bring a structure to the enquiries and build a delivery pipeline well in advance of production.

In the coming decade, the reborn TVR plans to release four new models. The car in question, set to arrive in 2017, will feature a body designed by Gordon Murray as well as a composite ground effect aero chassis.
