2015 Nairobi Auto Festival Photoshoot

Nairobi Auto Festival is East Africa’s premier motor show for supercars, historic cars, luxury cars and superbikes. The inaugural event is scheduled to take place on May 24 at the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi, Kenya. To give a taste of what will be on offer, the organisers embarked on a photoshoot with some of the cars that will be taking part – a midnight photoshoot held at the Kenyatta Center which is also Kenya’s biggest landmark.

The promo photoshoot involved cars from each of the show’s categories, thus representing clubs, garages, collectors and bespoke communities. With the help of Roy King, the official photographer, a nearly rainy night turned out to be one of the best automotive photoshoots ever held in the country.

In the frame during the shoot were several cars from the Subaru Club and Evo Club, not to mention private collectors’ pride and joy. Tuning houses were represented by Auto Art Racing who will be showcasing the largest collection from a single exhibitor in memory of the late Amir Mohamed, owner and influential racing driver in East Africa.

The 2015 Nairobi Auto Festival will comprise various categories, among them new cars, private collectors, historic cars, motorsports, superbikes, off-road trucks and more. This comes at a time when there is an increased growth of car clubs in Kenya. The organisers promise to bring out the best of East Africa leading to new motor show standards in the region.

Needless say, the motor show will be one of a kind for the country. Kenya has built its name as the leading destination for unique cars in East Africa, not to mention having the highest import rate of cars in the region. Nevertheless, most cars’ owners have until now lacked a proper platform to showcase these cars. As such, the 2015 Nairobi Auto Festival has launched an online form allowing private collectors to register for a spot in the motor show. The form can be accessed here.
