The BMW i8 sports car is certainly one of the most eye-catching cars on the market thanks predominately to its futuristic styling. Due to the curves which make up its body however, the i8 is noted for its aggression but the following example from Wheels Boutique is vastly different.
First off, this BMW i8 has been wrapped in matte black and then installed with a set of HRE wheels. These shoes are finished in a bright shade dubbed ‘Frozen Blue’ made up of a brushed finish combined with translucent blue which has been satined. Alongside the special finish, these wheels are significantly larger than the stock ones and measure 22×9 at the front and 22×10.5 at the rear.
As a reminder, the BMW i8 is of course the second model from BMW’s new BMW i-Series. It is intended as a sports car and provides a forward-looking, revolutionary interpretation of BMW’s hallmark driving experience. It is a 2+2-seater with a design that BMW refer to as LifeDrive architecture. It gets a “life module” passenger cell made from carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP), as you would expect from any premium sports car. Total weight is just 1,490 kg, bearing in mind the plug-in hybrid architecture.
