Old Castle Stuttgart

Porsche recently launched the special Panamera Exclusive Series at the Old Castle in Stuttgart, Germany prior to the car’s public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014.

The Old Castle dates back to the 10th century and was fully restored and renovated to its former glory in 1969 after being bombed during World War II.

As for the Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive Series itself, the car is immediately identifiable from the ‘regular’ Panamera Turbo S. As the car is based around the stretched Executive body style of the Panamera, it has an abundance of room for new luxuries and unique features. As a matter of fact, the seats as well as the lower door panels are finished in new Poltrona Frau Leather which is finished chestnut brown. This particular leather has been treated to be extremely soft and supple.

Elsewhere in the interior, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive Series utilises the German automaker’s Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus. It includes two large 10.1-inch touchscreens for rear-seat passengers. The entertainment system also includes a built-in camera and DVD player and is topped off with a high-end Burmester surround sound system.

Beneath the skin, everything remains mechanically identical to the regular Panamera Turbo S. What that means is a twin-turbocharged 4.8-litre V8 engine delivering an impressive 570 hp alongside 553 lb-ft of torque. That latter figure rises to 590 lb-ft with the overboost function enabled. All up, the car hits 96 km/h (60 mph) in a brisk 3.6 seconds.
