The popularity of wrapping sports cars and supercars has really boomed beyond recognition over the past few years. Taking this into account, the crew at mbDESIGN thought the first point of call for their latest tuned Audi R8 was to start with a unique wrap.
The tuner claims that the wrap mimics the design of the F16 Arctic Aggressor fighter jet. As a result, it combines matte white with matte grey to create quite an arctic feel to the German supercar. Additionally, it is covered in stickers from varies other tuning companies and presumably, sponsors also.
Beyond the wrap, this V8 powered Audi R8 is rolling on a set of special mbDESIGN KV1 wheels finished in matte grey. They measure 20×9 at the front with 325/30ZR20 tyres while at the rear, 20×12 inch wheels have been fitted along with 305/25R20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tyres. Elsewhere, the car features lowered suspension thanks to the fitment of coilovers.
Additionally, the car has received numerous exterior add-ons from the Audi R8 V10 GT like the carbon fibre rear wing, carbon rear panel and the GT’s more aggressive side blades.
While the majority of the focus was improving the looks of the car, mbDESIGN have managed to up power from the naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8 engine to 453 hp thanks to a K&N air filter and reworked engine software along with a Capristo stainless steel exhaust system.
