2014 Lexus RC F Coupe

The BMW M4 has been dominating the sports coupé headlines for that past few months but Lexus may just have released something to steal the German inline six thunder with the 2014 Lexus RC F Coupé. The RC F Coupé is a V8 monster that is promised to drive just as good as it looks, brilliantly.

The figures are still yet to be released by the Japanese marque but what they have revealed is that the V8 in the RC F will be the most powerful 8-cylinder engine they have ever built. This means the car will produce at least 416hp that we expect will drive the rear-wheels.

At the front the signature Lexus spindle grille, featuring a subtle F-pattern on the lower half, dominates the front of the RC F from the bottom of the hood to the lower lip. Moving to the rear the RC F features an available speed-sensitive active rear spoiler that is inspired by the LF-A hypercar.

Inside, the striking cockpit-like interior of Lexus RC F complements the aggressive exterior with its superbly crafted cabin. There are a number of unique components include the meters, steering wheel, seats, ornamentation and pedals. The instrument panel is dominated by a central meter which changes according to the four selectable driving modes, again like that of the LF-A. We expect to learn more about the RC F at the Detroit Motor Show so stay tuned with GTspirit!
