As well as the AC Schnitzer 4-Series, the Essen Motor Show 2013 will host the debut of the AC Schnitzer BMW 5-Series LCI. The LCI is essentially AC Schnitzer’s kit for the facelift BMW 5-Series. AC Schnitzer offer the full complement for the luxury barge including performance upgrades, exhaust systems, wheel and tyre combinations as well as aerodynamic bodystyling components and accessories for the interior.
Power upgrades are made available for all vehicles with diesel or petrol engines, in both rear-wheel and xDrive variants. Power solutions offer between 34 and 93 extra horsepower dependent on the basic engine.
Stainless steel sports rear silencers are fitted with chromed tailpipes. Wheel options include alloy wheels in BiColor or silver, or forged racing rims in BiColour. Another option are the totally new 21 inch Type V forged alloys which weight in at just 11 kg.
A complete aerodynamic bodykit is also part of the AC Schnitzer special accessory range. It consists of an AC Schnitzer front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler, rear roof spoiler, bonnet vents, rear skirt insert and a rear skirt protection foil.
Inside, the AC Schnitzer gets aluminium accessories such as pedal sets and gear knobs together with velours foot mats. This 5-Series comes fitted with an AC Schnitzer instrument display which displays up to 330 km/h. Finally, an “Evo” sports airbag steering wheel is also fitted.
Brakes are AC Schnitzer 8-piston high performance brake system and the suspension system is also an AC Schnitzer design with a lowering module which brings the car 25 mm closer to the ground.
