Sebastien Loeb Racing has won the fifth round of the FIA GT Series at the Navarra Circuit with a thrilling 1-2 finish for two McLarens. They tasted victory early during a wet qualifying session. In the morning where Parente flew from 4th to first and led throughout the entire 60 minute session. During the race, the duo managed to stick ahead of everyone else followed closely by the WRT Audi duo but the chain was often broken by another duo of HTP Mercedes cars.

In the Pro Am class, Afanasiev and Simonsen won the race while Reip and Doherty came second ahead of Ammermüller and Campanico. Rugolo and Sdanewitsch won the Gentlemen Trophy category. HTP Gravity managed to finish fourth overall ahead of the No. 12 Team WRT Audi. The Audi WRT No. 11 of Championship’s leaders Stéphane Ortelli and Laurens Vanthoor suffered a brake problem and a left rear fire, as a result, they finished 15th overall.

In the standings, Belgian Audi Team WRT leads the PRO cup with 145 points followed by Sebastien Loeb Racing with 117 points. HTP Gravity leads the PRO-Am with 146 points followed by Nissan GT Academy Team RJN with 130 points, they also lead the Gentleman trophy with 132 points. In the drivers standing, Stéphane Ortelli and Laurens Vanthoor are leading with 101 points in the PRO cup, Sergey Afanasiev and Andreas Simonsen lead the PRO-Am category with 127 points while Petr Charouz and Jan Stovicek lead the Gentleman Trophy with 110 points.

There is one more round left, the Baku World Challenge which will take place on November 20th after dates were shifted from October 18th.
