Hamann, a tuning company with its roots deep the the world of motorsport specialise in transferring there expertise from the racetrack to the road. The company has now turned their attention to a fairly mundane and tame car that does well to blend into the background; The BMW X3. Hamann have released an accessories range to help give the car a more aggressive edge.

The comoany has developed light-weight alloy wheels in the ANNIVERSARY EVO design specifically for heavier vehicles that require higher-load bearing. These 22inch wheels impress with their low unsprung mass for dynamic cornering. The ANNIVERSARY EVO Hyper-Black Design is as 21inch variant and both styles are wrapped in ultra-high performance Vredrestein Ultrac Vorti R tyres for ‘extreme sporting challenges!’.

Hamann offers specially tuner performance boosts for all engine variants of the X3. The xDrive 20i, 28i and 35i all have optimised ECUs and as a result the power output of the 35i leaps from 306hp to an impressive 348hp and torque is up from 400nm to 449nm. Diesel engines have also been worked on by Hamann’s engineers. The xDrive 18d, 20d, 30d and 35d’s Motronics have been adjusted. The 35d now outputs 355hp instead of the standard 313hp, torque is up from 630nm to 695nm

The car has also been lowered by Hamann. The 35mm reduction in ground clearance is sacrificed for a much better driving experience and better dynamics.
