The team at MWDesign recently completed work transformaing a regular black BMW Z4 into a real performance machine thanks to some tireless engineering as well as some interesting inspiration from Nike. Why Nike? Well, MWDesign claims that the lime green accents of the BMW Z4 Project Slingshot by MWDesign were inspired by the Slingshot series of golf clubs produced by Nike.

Remaining on the visual elements of the car, the lime green has been used sparingly and is joined with gunmetal grey accents and a black paint scheme. The BMW Z4 project Slingshot by MWDesign then features custom Modulare Wheels’ 20-inch H1 three-piece wheels with a unique brushed aluminium finish. Those wheels are then topped off with Toyo Tires measuring 245/30/20 at the front and 285/25/20 at the rear.

From a performance standpoint, the BMW Z4 Project Slingshot by MWDesign features a new exhaust system courtesy of IND Distribution and Eisenmann USA which helps to both increase power and torque, while adding a low powerful tone for the 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine. To further increase power, the BMW Z4 Project Slingshot by MWDesign features an ECU upgrade courtesy of DINAN which alone adds an amazing 78hp and 116lb-ft of torque!

Completing the engine bay modifications are STETT Performance’s front mounted intercooler and diverter valves. When it’s all said and done, the BMW Z4 Project Slingshot by MWDesign delivers around 400hp and 420lb-ft of torque!
