Porsche Announces Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2013 Lineup

With the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2013 and just around the corner, Porsche has just announced its line-up for the exclusive event, and it’s set to be a true show stopper.

The main attraction will come in the form of a Porsche 918 Spyder in production or near-production specification ahead of its expected world debut at the IAA Frankfurt Auto Show 2013 in September. Alongside the Porsche 918 Spyder will be the brand new Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition as well as the latest-generation Porsche 991 911 GT3 Cup racing car.

Other notable Porsches set to be displayed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2013 will be the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid, 1972 Porsche Martini 2.1 Turbo RSR, the exclusive Porsche 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’, a 1978 Porsche 935 as well as two Porsche 911 GT1s.

When first released as a concept car back in 2010, the Porsche 918 Spyder was believed to produce 795hp, but recent reports suggested that on the back of the 900hp+ LaFerrari and McLaren P1 being revealed, the Porsche 918 Spyder would feature an insane 875hp when it hits the production line.

However, since then, it was revealed that the Porsche 918 Spyder would in fact produce 887hp and over 920lb-ft of torque! That horsepower figure puts it slightly behind the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari, but the torque output is significantly more than the 664lb-ft of torque of the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari.
