Danny Hibbert Photography recently had the rare opportunity to run into an extremely rare Ford GT 720 Mirage by Avro Motor Cars and kindly put together the following gallery for us.
While the original Ford GT already features a potent 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine delivering an impressive 550hp, Avro Motor Cars were not entirely satisfied with that amount when they created the Ford GT 720 Mirage some year ago. Their creation features a larger Whipple supercharged and Accufab throttle body, X pipe exhaust system, a new inlet sleeve and a selection of other modifications. As its name suggests, the Ford GT 720 Mirage therefore manages to produce 720hp at 6,950rpm and 627lb-ft of torque at a fairly low 4,800rpm. When it’s all said and done, the Ford GT 720 Mirage can reportedly hit a top speed above 220mph!
However, engine modifications are just part of the story. The Ford GT 720 Mirage also features new KW Variant 3-way adjustable coilovers which drop the car by 25mm. From there, the car features new six-piston AP Racing brake calipers with Stillen-sourced slotted rotors front and rear.
From a visual standpoint, the Ford GT 720 Mirage features a unique burnt orange paint scheme complemented by black wing mirrors and black aftermarket wheels.
