The extremely limited BMW M5 ‘Nighthawk’ Edition has been revealed today by BMW Japan.

The Nighthawk edition BMW M5 will be limited to only 10 units and only be sold in the Japanese market. According to the official release, all the Nighthawk-only features will be solely cosmetic. So don’t expect any massive horsepower gains here. Exterior paint is Frozen Black — a custom shade only available on the 10 Nighthawk M5s.

Additional styling tweaks include blacked out front grille and similarly colored 20-inch alloy wheels. Owners are also treated to adaptive LED headlights. A two-tone interior is accented with Merino leather seats, limited edition plaque (with your car number) and additional carbon fiber trim.

The only significant performance tweaks come from the Competition Package, which is optional on all normal M5’s. The package, which adds dedicated sport suspension settings along with more aggressive steering ensures this M5 will one of the meanest in Japan. A custom M Dynamic Mode is also provided.

Pricing is expected to start around $181,000 (Â¥18,200,000) without word on when the car will available for order. However, with such a limited production of only 10 units, we would not be surprised if BMW has already pre-sold all models.
