Video: Harry Metcalfe Drives Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse at Mille Miglia 2013

At the recently concluded Mille Miglia 2013 event, Evo Magazine’s Harry Metcalfe was fortunate enough to spend three days in the extremely rare Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse!

Because the Mille Miglia 2013 event is a car event specially created to celebrate classic racing cars, Harry Metcalfe and the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse were acting as a support car for the rest of the field. On the trip, Harry Metcalfe was able to thoroughly explore how living with the 1200hp Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is and even has a nice chat with former Top Gear presenter and current Fifth Gear presenter Tiff Needell who even feels the need to take some picture of this incredible French hypercar!

Just a recap, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is based on the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport and it uses an 8.0-liter W16 engine, which delivers 1,200hp and a 1,500Nm torque at 3,000 to 5,000 rpm. The increased power of the new roadster’s 16-cylinder engine is made possible by the four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers. The chassis of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse has also been modified to support the power increase.

As a result of this insane power, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse managed to recently hit a top speed of 408.84km/h at Ehra-Lessien earlier this year.
