Ferrari 250 California Spider LWB

Salon Prive, UK’s premier ’boutique’ motoring event has announced the line-up and schedule for the 2013 events. The entire event will take place from September 4th to 6th at West London’s Syon Park. Salon Prive has proven to be among the world’s leading automotive events, ranking alongside US Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Italy’s Villa d’Este.

Visitors will be treated to cars from confirmed manufacturers and tuners such as Futura Design, Clark Abel, Spyker, Vencer, Zagato, Bentley, Maserati, McLaren, Rolls-Royce and Startech. The 2013 event will see the introduction of the Royal College of Art ‘Concours of the Future’ Design Exhibition. This will allow ten of the best undergraduates from the RCA’s Vehicle Design programme to redesign cars from previous Concours event and give them a modern look.

The exhibition will be held on September 4 and judging done the following day. Top three winners will receive trophies designed and manufactured by Bridge of Weir Leather Company. The overall winner will be invited to Italy for a tour and design master-class with Andrea Zagato in Milan.

The line-up is as follows. Note that the Chubb Insurance Tour d’Elégance held on the 3rd is a private event. The invited guests will tour the Royal Automobile Club’s country estate, Woodcote Park in Epsom, Brooklands Museum, Mercedes-Benz World and finish with a gala dinner at the Hilton London Syon Park.

Tuesday 3rd September 2013 – Chubb Insurance Tour d’Elégance (Private Event)
Wednesday 4th September 2013 – Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance Judging Day (10am to 6pm)
Thursday 5th September 2013 – Boodles Ladies’ Day (11am to 5pm)
– Salon Privé Ball in aid of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity
Friday 6th September 2013 – Audemars Piguet Super Car Friday (11am to 5pm)

The Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show
This is also a new event in the line-up and will involve showcasing new models from exotic brands. Expect to see brands such as Clark Abel, Futura Design, Icona, Spyker, Vencer and Zagato. This will take place on September 4.
Manufacturers will include Audi, Bentley, BMW, Clark Abel, Ferrari, Futura Design, Harley-Davidson, Icona, Lexus, Maserati, McLaren, Overfinch, Radical Sportscars, Rimac, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Romans International, Spyker, Startech, SuperVettura, Touring Superleggera, Trident, Vencer, VUHL, WARR’s and Zagato

The Hyper Car Collection
Like the name suggests, this will be a pure collection of hypercars, expect to see the Koenigsegg Agera R, Pagani Huayra, Ruf CT3-S, SSC Aero GT and more

The Concepts & Prototypes Display
The concept cars that have hovered over major car shows this year will make an appearance here, newer ones will be revealed too. Expect to see the Alfa Romeo Zagato TZ3, Ford Evos, Lightning GT, Spyker B6 Venator and Icona Vulcano.

The Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance
The Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance judging day takes place on the first day, refer to our earlier article to see the line-up of judges. The following will be the classes:
– Celebrating 100 Years of Aston Martin
– The Iconic Porsche 911 at 50 years
– 50 years of The Legendary Lamborghini
– Wind in your Hair
– The Beauty of Streamlining
– Little Saloons – The Birth of the Berlinetta
– Graceful Pre-War Motoring

– The Art of Design – Pininfarina
– Sporting Motorcycles from the 1920s to the 1970s
– One-offs and Oddball Motorcycles

The car line-up for this event is interesting! It includes a 1949 Koeng-built Riley 105 Transformable Coupé which will be competing in the Beauty of Streamlining Class; there is a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato in the ‘Celebrating 100 Years of Aston Martin’ class, next is a 1947 Cisitalia 202 MM Spider in the ‘The Art of Design, Pininfarina’ class and a 1927 Bugatti T38 Coupe Fiacre in the Graceful Pre-War Motoring class.
