Render: 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet by Theophilus Chin

The 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo was only released a couple of weeks ago, and already automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin has just released his renderings of the upcoming 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

It hasn’t been announced when the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet will hit the market or when it’ll debut, but whenever it does, it’ll inevitably feature the exact same rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine as the coupe thus producing an equal 520hp.

Consequently, the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet should be able to hit 62mph in around the same 3.2 seconds as the coupe, or possibly slightly slower due to the extra weight of the convertible configuration. Similarly, the coupe’s 196mph top speed should be matched by the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet.

Theophilus Chin’s following renderings simply depict what you’d imagine a Porsche 911 Cabriolet to look like, with it featuring the same styling as the coupe, albeit without a roof and the addition of a more curvy rear-mounted engine cover.

The 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet could make its debut as early as the Frankfurt Auto Show this coming September, with the inevitable 2014 or 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet then likely to be launched at the same time of slightly later.
