Report: 90% of 2013 SRT Viper Orders are for the GTS Model

With the first batch of 800 production ready 2013 SRT Viper’s finally being shipped out, SRT has confirmed that almost 90 per cent of orders for the brand new Viper are for the top of the range GTS model.

This news comes as quite a shock as the 2013 SRT Viper GTS costs a minimum of $120,395 which is a $23,000 price hike over the standard SRT Viper. What this does indicate is that customers either feel the base SRT Viper is too expensive, or the simple fact that customers are jumping on the opportunity of having a more civilised and luxurious version of an infamously viscous American supercar.

For their extra $23k, customers get Nappa premium leather wrapped Sabelt seats, a 12-speaker sound system, satellite navigation, numerous components wrapped in luxurious Alcantara, bright red brake calipers and more advanced stability control and suspension systems.

Let us know in the comment section below if you’d have the regular 2013 SRT Viper, the GTS model or even the limited-edition 2014 SRT Viper TA?

  1. I would buy the srt base model, with upgraded leather seats , and an upgraded 18 speaker stereo system. I would also only buy the convertible model when it comes out. I would also want the snake skin green color from the previous viper model. I enjoy the viper to cruise in , I am not a person that races.
