The Nurburgring 24 Hours is, arguably, the toughest race of them all in terms of sheer endurance, both physically and mentally.

Aston Martin Racing has announced their plans to contest the annual twice-around-the-clock race with their newly announced partner, Bilstein. The blue and yellow livery is a refreshing throw back to races of old, when it was common to see Bilstein blue and yellow cars screaming down the Nurburgring front straight.

The driver line up secured by Aston is a good one. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 will be driven by factory drivers Darren Turner and Stefan Mücke , alongside Nürburgring aces Allan Simonsen and Pedro Lamy. The additional of any one of these drivers would certainly make a team into a contender. But the addition of four? Aston has put themselves in the best position to fight for a win in years.

We will keep you updated as the race draws ever nearer. Oh and might we say the livery looks damn good? Yeah, I think we will.
