Render: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ZR1

The latest 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray rendering has just hit the web, this time showcasing what a possible ZR1 version may look like when it’s inevitably released a few years down the track.

The new Corvette C7 has already been rendered as a track-oriented competition racer, a convertible as well as one fitted with aftermarket wheels, and while the following rendering may not seem as realistic as those, it’s certainly interesting to see how Chevrolet could tweak the Corvette’s styling to make it even more aggressive and worthy of the ZR1 title.

Dramatic changes can be seen up front, with a completely new front bumper finished with LED running lights being prominent. The C7 ZR1 then has a large black front splitter and a set of Advance One Wheels featuring a deep concave design.

Although nothing has been confirmed just yet, it’s almost a surety that a ZR1 variant of the new Corvette Stingray will be offered in the near future. The only question left is whether or not it’ll be called the ZR1 as Chevrolet may want to continue the C7’s dramatic changes over the previous generation and give it a completely new label to suit the car’s new personality.
