Another year, another set of GTspirit Awards. We are very pleased to announce the winners of our 2012 supercar and tuning awards! This year we awarded both Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice awards based on votes from our visitors and the favorites of our editorial team. Over 10,000 votes were cast by visitors and readers of GTspirit and after removing any duplicate votes we can announce the winners. Together with the favourites of our team of editors and contributors this resulted in five winners over three different award categories. We like to congratulate all the winners with their Awards!

GTspirit Supercar of the Year 2012: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
Without a doubt one of the most spectacular supercars of the year 2012 is the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. The 6.3 liter V12 engine in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has a maximum power output of 740hp and that with a weight of just 1,525 kilogram. Add techniques carried over from the F1 scene and you understand why the F12 is rewarded by our audience.
GTspirit Tuning Car of the Year 2012: Mansory Aventador
The Tuning Car of the Year 2012 received both the Readers’ Choice Award as our Editors’ Choice Award. The Mansory Aventador builds on the already spectacular Lamborghini Aventador (winner of the 2011 Supercar of the Year Award) and takes the looks and performance to a new level. Mansory presented its Aventador for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 and a few months later we also had a chance to test the Mansory Aventador, our experience is rewarded with the Editors’ Choice Award.

Our readers not only awarded Mansory with the title of Tuning Car of the Year 2012 for their Mansory Aventador but also chose Mansory as the tuner of the year 2012. Mansory took on a large range of sports- and luxury cars this year from the McLaren 12C to the new Bentley Continental GT.

Our Editors’ absolute favorite supercar of the year 2012 is the McLaren 12C Spider. Never have we come across a convertible that is better than its coupe counterpart in every aspect. Therefor the 12C Spider earned the Editors’ Choice Award for Supercar of the Year 2012.
GTspirit Tuning Car of the Year 2012: Mansory Aventador
Our Editors’ Choice for Tuning Car of the Year 2012 is the Mansory Aventador. Mansory presented its Aventador for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 and a few months later we also had a chance to test the Mansory Aventador, our experience is rewarded with the Editors’ Choice Award.

German tuner Brabus is the winner of our 2012 Tuner of the Year Editor’s Choice Award. The specialist from Bottrop has a long standing record as one of the most famous and technologically advanced tuners in the world and like last year they could again count on the most votes from our editorial team to secure the title.
