McLaren F1 Designer Collaborates With Arlanch to Create Green Supercar

High-end watch manufactures have a long history within the supercar industry. Thanks to firm collaborations between companies such as Ferrari and Hublot, Bentley and Breitling and Aston Martin with Jaeger LeCoultre, the two seems to fit seamlessly together even though their vastly different industries indicating otherwise.

The latest collaboration of this sort involves the designer of the McLaren F1, Peter Stevens, teaming up with Swedish watch brand, Arlanch to help and create what is being dubbed the Arlanch green supercar concept.

Arlanch has gained worldwide recognition in the watch industry thanks to their environmentally friendly approach to developing and producing watches and the green supercar concept fits nicely within such a reputation.

As the sketches show, the Arlanch green supercar would feature a mid-engined layout, with its large canopy roof and windscreen stretching well beyond the front axle. From the front, the car reminds us a bit of the Marussia B2 thanks to its aggressively styled wheel arches, air intakes and slim headlights.

Although the Arlanch green supercar concept will never make it to production, it’s nice to see that interest in further developing green supercars still remains.
