With Christmas and New Years around the corner there is only one important thing left for us to do this year; announce the nominees for our GTspirit Awards 2012. In the category Supercar of the Year 2012 we have twelve nominations this year. Additionally we have nominees for the title of Tuner of the Year 2012 and Tuning Car of the Year 2012.
The nominees for all our categories have been selected based on votes from our editorial team. Like last year we will award two prizes per category: one Readers Choice Award based on the public vote below and one Editorial Award based on the opinions of our editorial team. All supercars and tuning cars which had their first customer deliveries this year qualified to be nominated. The awards will be awarded on January 10th 2012 when the polls are closed.

These all seem to be 2013 models.. Why are they for 2012. Not all of them have been tested enough for the public to see.
Sadly, the Bugatti, BMW, Maserati, Bently, Rolls, and Merc are all dated in appearance. Only real contenders for innovation and style are the Ferrari, SRT and Aston.
Why have you listed the BMW M6? I know its super fast but its classed as a GT car not a supercar. BMW dont have a supercar yet. in 2016 they will :)
Even though the m6 is a FAST GT car it destroys most supercars anyway. ///M

@haydervision Keep in mind, this list is purely of cars which hit showroom floors in 2012. All of the cars you listed were released either in 2011 or before :)
The rules clearly state that cars only qualify in the year that first customer deliveries take place. All cars mentioned below were part of our awards last year and thus do not qualify again this year.
That there were not enough pure supercar releases this year and cars like the M6 made it on the list is not our fault but the manufacturers ;)
