Following official spyshots released two weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz has released a new set of 27 photos and confirmed that the upcoming CLA 45 AMG will in fact make use of Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC system. The Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC system is an advanced electronic system that will feature a three-stage stability program offering drivers a selection of different driving modes.

The regular setting is ESP ON, followed by ESP SPORT Handling Mode and ESP OFF. Furthermore, the CLA 45 AMG will be all-wheel drive (the main feature of the 4MATIC system) developed specifically for the CLA 45 AMG which may be 25 percent lighter than similar systems produced by some of Benz’s biggest rivals.

Additionally, it can be revealed that the CLA 45 AMG will feature AMG’s speedshift DCT seven-speed sports transmission with dual clutch technology, enabling AMG’s latest sedan to compete with the best offered by BMW’s and Audi’s dual-clutch transmissions.

Not often do automakers release so many specifications and images of a car before its launch, but Mercedes-Benz obviously felt it necessary to help drum up more orders for the car.

The car is expected to be official unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in January and will feature a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine good for 354hp and 332lb-ft of torque.
