The latest rumours from within the higher management levels in Molsheim, France suggest that we will be seeing a Bugatti SuperVeyron at the 2013 IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt. According to news via Automobile magazine, a 1,600hp ultra Veyron is planned to be released at the German car show.

The development and release of the Veyron Hyper Sport includes a lower weight via the use of even more carbon fiber, more horsepower and an even more mind-boggling top speed of 288mph. Driven, as usual, by grandmaster Ferdinand Piech himself, the Ultra Bugatti gets a beefed up 8.0 liter (or 9.6 liter) engine that delivers 1,600hp.

The rumored acceleration time from 0-100km/h is 1.8 seconds, which would better the upcoming Ferrari Enzo replacement and the McLaren P1 hypercar. The secret to all this is a weight saving of almost 550 pounds over the Veyron Super Sport. At 3,527 pounds, the limited-edition Veyron for the super mad and the super rich achieves a power-to-weight ratio of one kg (2.2 pounds) per hp.

  1. This is amazing, for the most amazing automotive engineering known to man. Good going bugatti! keep pushing the boundaries!

sure there are already 1600hp ford GT’s and whatever, but lets see them go on for 50,000 miles without a fault.

  2. I heard a rumor of 1800hp already circulating on the roads to a small clientele..

I also heard the same numbers but with a gas turbine engine?

  3. The fastest acceleration, but wanna see the corner times at any stock F1 track against P1 or F150. Maybe it has a chance at Dunsfold straights.
