Kicherer released a new Supercharged SLS GT today. It bears no relation to the new SLS GT, it’s simply an upgrade on an existing SLS package. Finished in a sinister Matt Black, the SLS receives a new supercharger, an exterior package and a new set of wheels. The upgrades are carried out exclusively in-house at Kicherer’s facility.

The Kicherer SLS Supercharged GT gets an exterior package with a hand-crafted front grille unit featuring large, vertical fins and a carbon front lip spoiler. At the back, they’ve fitted a discreet rear diffuser. Elsewhere, there’s a set of carbon fins for the front fenders and a new engine bonnet.

The supercharger system is unique to Kicherer. It fits so perfectly into the car that it’s difficult to tell its fitted by lifting the bonnet. The upper engine air intake is retained and no additional pulleys are required for the supercharger’s belt drive. Supercharger pressure is displayed to the driver in digital or analogue from the tachometer. Telemetry data can be provided via a specially developed app.

Power is now at 700bhp and maximum torque increases to around an impressive 840Nm. It helps the Kicherer SLS Supercharged GT achieve 0 to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 300km/h. The supercharger works from just over 3,000revs. Kicherer also fits a stainless-steel sports exhaust system.

The wheels are Kicherer’s in-house RS-1 light-weight forged wheels. They measure 10.0Jx20 inches up front and 11.5Jx21 inches at the back. Tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sport’s and suspension is a high-tech set of coilovers with a 30mm lift function.

By way of accessories, Kicherer offers carbon fiber parts for the interior doors, the center console, the door sill protectors, the rear of the seats and the stowage tray.
