It’s one think drifting modern supercars and another to drift an almost priceless 1930’s Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza! That happened back in 2009 at the Ulster Vintage Car Club at Shane’s Castle, Northern Ireland. Jalopnik recently unearthed the video from the depths of YouTube!
The car features a 2.3 liter engine. In the hands of Tazio Nuvolari, it won the 1931 and 1932 Targa Florio race in Sicily and the 1931 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Back in 2010, a similar example sold for $6,710,000 at Pebble Beach! Alternatively, it could be a replica, let us know what you think.

The 1931 Alfa Romeo from the Scuderia Ferrari team did in fact come in this color, however from what I’ve gathered that was only the 2600 8c monza. The existing 2600 I know of in that color also has 166 on both the top right and front left of the car. It is also a known fact that the Scuderia team had more than 30 cars in 1931 alone, so it wouldn’t surprise me to find if it was, in fact, original. I’m no expert on these cars, just a passionate follower of Ferrari. And considering Enzo started in Alfa’s I suppose I love these too. I’d love to hear more if GTSpirit can dig anything up!
