The first official images of the 2013 Jaguar F-Type have been leaked ahead of the official debut at the Paris Motor Show 2012. The photos were shared by a member of Teamspeed and posted on their forum.

The large series of photos features two models; one red F-Type S model with quad tailpipes and a F-Type S silver model with center tailpipes. The design of the F-Type looks quite similar to the C-X16 Concept, which was released at last year’s IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt. The only difference are the side skirts and the lower stance of the wheels. The convertible also features a moving rear spoiler, which is clearly visible on the silver model.

Two pictures also show the interior design of the new F-Type, which features a similar setup as the concept. The design is clearly inspired by other Jaguar models and showcases a central stack including movable airconditioning outlets, a central screen for the multimedia and navigation screen, and a central gear lever. The leather sports seats are combined with a leather dashboard and leather armrest.

Rumours suggest that the model line up will have a choice of three model variants. Supercharged V6 and V8 models will be made available from launch. The V6 model could produce as much as 380hp and 450Nm of torque when it goes on sale next year!

  1. ehh, it’s actually kinda disappointing. I feel like Jaguar missed a big opportunity here. Jaguar “style” should be distinctive, unmistakable, . There’s nothing distinctive about this. It’s actually pretty generic. It could be anything. A handsome car, yes, but also a bit ambiguous. If I saw it drive by, I’m not sure I’d immediately recognize it as a Jag. Hopefully the upcoming coupe model will look a little less vanilla. I guess what I’m getting at is this; When the original E-type debuted, every celebrity and jet-setter in the world had to have one…. can the same be said about this one? I’m just not sure.

…But Hopefully it drives as good as they say it will!
