Silverstone Race Circuit situated in Northamptonshire, United Kingdom was host to the Ferrari Race days event which took place this weekend. The day of the world record attempt, which we shared with your earlier today, had various qualifying sessions and the first race of the Ferrari weekend. The Pirelli Ferrari Open race (round 11). Sundays list of events comprised of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli – Coppa Shell and Pirelli class -, F1 Clienti and XX Programmes.

There are two classifications within the one-make series, which comprises of complete track novices who compete within a separate title who have their own Coppa Shell and the Pirelli class for riders who already have competition experience.

The Coppa Shell class had twenty riders on track to fight for the win in the first race of the day which lasted for thirty minutes. Nineteen of the riders completed the race with No.102 not finishing the race. The race was won by No.197 Alexey Basov, second was No.196 Raffaele Giannoni and third was No.131 Fernando Baiz.

The Pirelli Class had eleven riders on track to compete in the thirty minute race. Within the first five minutes of the race No.6 Case ended up in the gravel and No.10 Gai had to come off track after contact with another rider. Both incidents ended their chances for the race win. The winner of the race was No.8 Caso, second was No.21 Kruglyk and third was No.19 Gobbo. The race was won by 0.020 with a fight until the end. Stop and Go penalties were given to No.1, No.9, No.10 and No.15.

The F1 Clienti cars are past owned by collectors and driven with Ferrari mechanics and staff full assistance.

The XX programmes is part of the non-competitive activity run by Maranello’s Corse Clienti Department. The select few owners of the Ferrari FXX or a 599XX which are specifically designed and produced exclusively for track use can enter themselves and their unique Ferraris to special research and development programmes which will involve “owner-test drivers” at various events organised by Ferrari. The drivers had two sessions of private practice on the Silverstone circuit for forty minutes.
