As promised, Polish supercar upstart Arrinera revealed the final designs of their brand new supercar; the Arrinera Hussarya! The name apparently takes influence from the Polish Hussars, a Polish cavalry unit that served the Polish army between the 16th and 18th centuries. Widely recognised as the most powerful cavalry in the word, they went undefeated for 100 years. A fitting name for a supercar project then!

We’re told that since 2008, designers have been working hard on the Arrinera Hussarya aerodynamics. The past fourteen months, the car has evolved further and designers, along with experts at the Warsaw University of Technology have helped to complete development of the current design. Using wind tunnels, the design you see below has been wind tunnel tested to 360km/h.

The cockpit design has changed. Arrinera have removed the scissor doors from the prototype, created more space and raised ground clearance. Chassis dimensions remain the same, yet the Arrinera supercar gains a more muscular appearance. The car now features two spoilers, one acts as an airbrake at speeds higher than 150km/h.

The Arrinera Hussarya will be built at the SILS Centre in Gliwice, Poland under supervision of Ferrostaal Automotive GmbH based in Essen, Germany. Engineers will now move on to testing at the Applus IDIADA automotive research center in Spain with the aim of delivering the car to customers by the end of 2012. Both right and left hand drive versions will be made available.

The Arrinera will be powered by a mid-mounted 6.2 liter supercharged LS9 V8 engine which also powers the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. This engine delivers a maximum output of 650 horsepower and 820Nm torque. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox by Graziano.

The car weighs only 1,300kg, so the power-to-weight ratio is 2.0kg/hp. Thanks to this, the Arrinera will accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. The 200km/h barrier is passed in 8.9 seconds and the top speed is 340km/h.

Arrinera still plan on releasing a limited edition ‘Series 33′ model featuring different exterior and interior elements. Expect details of that next month. Apparently the designs have been well received by customers.

CEO Lukasz Tomkiewicz said:

Arrinera Hussarya was created for automobile enthusiasts with a passion for fast and beautiful cars. For enthusiasts searching for intense emotions and a massive dose of adrenaline combined with the practicality of everyday solutions. With just a little extravagance mixed in for good measure.

  1. it looks cool…but its really looks like a copy paste design of a smaller looking Lamborghini Aventador. Now its Polish with a ZR-1 American engine. like wtf? make your own engine and quit copying and pasting Photoshop pictures to design cars. Im not hating just saying.

  2. That’s what I wanted to say mq,to me it looks like blend of MP4-12C and Gallardo which you can hardly call original…
However thanks to that GM powerplant it will be easy to modify it and get a lot more power.

  3. Being Polish this design depresses me even more. The last Arrinera was a joke, it was a Lamborghini Reventon copy that they “melted” the looks of to get something slightly different (not to mention the embarrassment they caused themselves at the reveal ceremony when the car didn’t get there on time). They did the same thing with this car, they took an Aventador, slapped some K1-Attack tail lights and a nobel m600/”2017 lotus elan copcept” front end on it. I mean the wheels are clearly from the Aventador, they just filled in the gaps!

Poland, look at the Marussia B2, they didnt need to copy anyone’s design to have a beautiful car, and they’re Russian for Christ’s sake. Dartz, Zenvo, the Shayton Equilibrium there’s tons of designs that started from nothing. STOP PIGGYBACKING DESIGNS AND START DESIGNING SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL.

  4. Everyone needs to stop screaming copycat. First off developing an engine is massively expensive so most small car makers source them from other companies. Even huge auto companies make only a few engines as they are so expensive to develop. Yes this clearly takes cues from other manufacturers but it looks great and is in no way a blatant copy. And who cares if it looks like a aventador, first off that’s a great looking car and secondly the hussarya is going be less then half the cost of an aventador with specs which are only marginally worse. I commend them for bringing a car that looks in my opinion better then a lambo and while be great value. I would love to see you guys try and design a car without it looking similar to existing designs.

P.S. the MA Russia looks hideous. Reminds me of a noble that is way to over designed.
