Ferrari released a few details on the pricing for the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta recently. In the Dutch customers will be expected to pay 386,359 euros plus taxes, almost 20,000 euros less than the outgoing Ferrari 599 GTB. In Italy, prices will be 274,000 euros plus taxes and with HELE options, this then becomes 369,589 euros.

We were worried that something had happened to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Ferrari decided not to show the car at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, missing out on the perfect opportunity to introduce the car to one of its most important markets. As far as PR mistakes go, Goodwood appears to have been a big one for the Italian brand.

However, considering it is the most powerful high performance vehicle Ferrari have ever produced, we’re sure that they can be forgiven putting it only out of sight in a VIP area. The F12 Berlinetta gets a 6.3 liter V12 engine with a maximum power output of 740hp, which translates to a specific output of 118hp per liter. Torque reaches a peak of 690Nm, 80 per cent of which is already available at just 2,500rpm. The red line is at 8,700rpm. The engine is mated to the F1 dual-clutch transmission, which has closer gear ratios. The F12 Berlinetta boasts a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.1kg/hp.

The result is that the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta 12-cylinder accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200km/h in 8.5 seconds. It also completes a lap of the Fiorano circuit in 1’23”, faster than any other Ferrari road car. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has a top speed of over 340km/h.
