Today saw the biggest event of the year at Brookland Museum, Auto-Italia 2012. GTspirit went to the Surrey-based museum to take a look at the event which this year, celebrates its 25th anniversary as the first all-Italian car event to be held in the UK.

Almost every Italian manufacture was represented, from Ferrari to Lancia and from De Tomaso to Fiat, with the only exception being Pagani. Also on show where the large exotic car dealers of the South of England, with HR Owen, DK Engineering and Foskers bringing along several of their cars that are up for sale to show them off and hopefully find a buyer!

As well as the static display for owners, dealers and show cars, the Mercedes-Benz World’s purpose built test track was in use showing off some of the more special cars in action. These included a few Lamborghini Aventadors, the Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2, the AC 378 GT Zagato and many Ferrari models. One unfortunate Lamborghini Countach owner had to be rescued from a gravel trap after losing control in the wet!

After the test track demo had finished, the organisers opened up the test hill. This event saw more sports cars competing against each other to set the fastest time up the Brooklands hill.

Three cars stood out the most to use today, the Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador LP760-2, AC 378 GT Zagato and the Evolution 2 Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia Emozione.
