This weekend we reviewed the latest offering from Audi, the 2012 Audi S7 Sportback together with Tim aka Shmee150. At Munich Airport, Audi gave us the keys to a Rocky Mountain Dark Brown Audi S7 for a full-day road test. Ahead of our complete story plus pictures, we can share you Tim’s experience with the new S-model A7.

The luxury coupe features the new 4.0 TFSI with 420hp and 550Nm of maximum torque. The twin-turbo V8 accelerates the five-door coupe from 0 to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds, and top speed is limited to 250km/h. The eight-cylinder uses Audi’s “cylinder on demand” technology under part load for a lower fuel consumption.

The engine is linked to a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox. The adaptive air suspension sport, the Audi drive select dynamics system and quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with a self-locking center differential and torque vectoring come standard. The optional sport differential from Audi distributes the power in variable proportions between the rear wheels.

  1. Schmee150 is a great car spotter… but he’s just made the most boring car review ever.
Anyway… he’s cool so I’ll give him a second chance.
