These are the first official pictures of the 2013 Audi RS4 Avant. The press photos leaked this afternoon ahead of the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in three weeks time.

The pictures confirm what some renders and spyshots already showed to us over the past few weeks, a RS-styled A4 wagon dressed in the wonderful red red ‘communication’ color. On the inside, you will spot the usual features like a carbon fiber trim, recaro sport seats and a multimedia system in the dashboard.

The pictures follow after initial information, which was revealed via official Audi documentation at the end of January. The 2013 model is based on a facelifted version of the A4 and will have its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Auto Salon.

The 2013 Audi RS4 Avant will have a high-revving 4.2 liter V8. The 4.2 FSI delivers 450 horsepower at 8,250rpm and and a maximum of 430Nm of torque between 4,000 and 6,000rpm. The engine is linked to a seven-speed S tronic transmission with launch control program. This powertrain is similar to the Audi RS5, which is currently available in Europe and heading to the US.

Stay tuned for more soon!
