Essen 2011 Brabus Mercedes M-Class

German tuner Brabus have unveiled their program for the new W166 Mercedes M-Class at the Essen Motor Show 2011. The SUV got a new bodykit, power upgrade and interior.

A number of aerodynamic options have been added to this car. At the front of the car, a new front spoiler has been added as well as attachments for the air inlets. New side sills have been added with entrance lights and optional sill skirts with Brabus lettering. A rear fascia is available for all vehicles in the range. A rear spoiler has been added, this attaches to the tailgate.

The wheels are custom-made Brabus Monoblock’s with diameters ranging from 18 to 22 inches. The largest version measures 10Jx22 inches. Three different designs are available named the Monoblock VI, E and Q wheels.

New suspension components have been developed in cooperation with Bilstein. Other parts are an improved brake kit, custom Brabus tailpipes and an performance upgrade with a peak torque from the standard 620Nm to 690Nm, available between 1,600 and 2,400rpm. At the same time maximum power output jumps from 258hp to 306hp at just 3,600rpm. This allows a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 6.0 seconds, an improvement of 1.4 seconds. Top speed increases to 229km/h.

Interior options for the new M-Class include bi-color stainless-steel scuff plates with backlit Brabus logo as well as matte-anodized aluminum pedals, door-lock pins and foot rest. Interiors are crafted from a combination of Mastik leather and Alcantara.
