Ferrari F40 Accident

We’ve just received information on a crash that involved a Ferrari F40 in Southern Germany last week. The crash happened near the border with Switzerland when the driver, an 80-year-old businessman from Stuttgart, lost control of the supercar and hit a tree.

German police have estimated that the damage will run to € 250,000. Luckily, no injuries were reported and the driver has since checked out of hospital following a routine check-up. The car had 10,000km on the clock before the accident and it is unclear as to whether it can be rebuilt. Judging from the damage it looks likely to become a write-off.

  1. My all time fave Ferrari…this just hurts. But it’s astonishing how safe supercars are I mean the damage is extensive and the driver (being 80 for gods sake!) wasn’t injured.

Still a very sad day. I hope it can be repaired :(

  3. Funny thing is I don’t think it hit any trees as the damage to it appears from driving high speed over rough ground. Hitting a tree, in case you know nothing of the type of damage hitting a tree causes, I know first hand, the front end would be smashed IN, like it hit a tree…. not like it drove fast over rough ground. The front end would be history if it hit anything especially a tree. Just some obvious info for you.
