Ferrari has updated the Ferrari California for the 2012 model year. According to Car magazine, the 2012 Ferrari California will be more powerful, lighter and packed with some new technologies. It hits the production line in January 2012 with first deliveries expected from March in the UK.

The 2012 Ferrari California will have another 30 horsepower from its 4.3 liter V8 power plant lifting it up to 483bhp. This is achieved by reprogramming the ECU and improved machining of the internals like the exhaust manifold. Additionally to the +30hp Ferrari brings the weight down with 30kg to 1,705kg kerbweight. Overall this should lift performance for 0-100 km/h in a respectable 3,85 sec.

The 2012 Ferrari California is only available with the twin-clutch transmission and the optional handling special pack is now also available. Spec your 2012 California with this pack and Ferrari promises upgraded dampers and an ECU that has a 50 percent faster responds rate to sharpen up the cornering abilities of the folding hard top convertible. Prices for the 2012 model Ferrari California are not announced yet.
