The Art Morrison 3G Corvette looks like an original 1960 Corvette, but only the body style is classic. Underneath the body the car features a modern chassis, modern suspension and modern brakes. The 3G Corvette is powered by a 7.0 liter aluminium V8 which provides 538 horsepower. The transmission is taken from a Dodge Viper.
In 2006, Art Morrison won the ‘Gran Turismo Award’ at the SEMA show, which meant that this car featured in the video game Gran Turismo. Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire was able to drive this modern recreation of a classic which took over 3200 man hours to build. Check the video below to see how this car behaves and sounds in real life.
