Driving a car like the Caterham R300 Superlight one lap of touristenfahrt on the Nurburgring Nordschleife is an unique experience overtaking many cars. The clip below shows exactly what we mean. Overall, it looks like the Caterham is a somekind of a fast-forward car in a slow-motion world.
Powered by a 2.0 liter Ford Duratec engine, tweaked by Caterham Powertrain to produce 175bhp, the R300 will sprint to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. The R300 weighs a mere 515kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 339bhp-per-tonne. Top speed is 140mph.
