Video Caparo T1 Passenger Ride with Mika Hakkinen

One of the journalists from the British magazine EVO got the chance to experience a passenger ride in a Caparo T1 sports car. He was taken around Goodwood park – which hosts the Goodwood Festival of Speed – by racing legend and two-time Formula One World Champion Mika Hakkinen.

The Caparo T1 is the closest you can get to a Formula 1 racer. The Caparo T1 is powered by a 3.5 liter V8 engine developing 575bhp at 10,500rpm and 420Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. Taking it on the back roads of Goodwood between the trees must have been a thrill-seeking experience.

  1. Haha. That looks fun. Look at the head of the passenger constantly tilting forward when Mika breaks or lifts off the throttle. What a difference between a trained driver and a mere peasant. Fun to watch.

  2. It,s not that. I notice the same thing i my car when I drive. The driver knows he is going to accelerate or brake, or turn and he subconsciously tight his muscles before the g-force come, the passengers tight their muscles when they feel the force, which is a bit too late and their head is already tilt a bit.

  3. @ kris_vd. You are right. But still it’s a powerful car. And Hakkinen drives almost like a F1 car. I like the way he parks it.
