Geneva 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG E-Cell

Mercedes-Benz puts its SLS AMG in the spotlights again, this time with the green tinted E-Cell version. The enviromental friendly version of the German sport car has the same looks as the petrol guzzler but inner changed the petrol engine for electric power.

The SLS AMG E-Cell uses four electric motors situated at each wheel. Power will be equivalent to 519 instantaneous horsepower and 649lb-ft of torque allowing the E-Cell to glide effortlessly to 100km/h (62mph) in just under four seconds. The lithium polymer batteries are located behind the cockpit and down the center tunnel.
