Perhaps you have seen the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept. An amazing car which played a role as Autobot “Sideswipe” in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen could see a future.
According to Autoweek, a senior GM insider indicated that the C7 will be the last of the traditional, old-style Corvettes. Chevrolet is preparing a revolutionary new concept for the C8 Corvette, a mid-engined model capable of matching Europe’s most exotic supercars. Main points of focus are reducing weight, aerodynamic drag and replacing the V8 with a twin turbocharged V6 engine with a total output of 440hp.
We have to wait until 2016 to see the new C8 hitting the streets. Both coupe and convertible models are planned.
Awesome. It took me a while to catch the 60’s Corvette reflection under the C8.
If chevy make this happen they will have the whole automotive’s world attention. The problem with most american vehicles is the styling. We need vehicle in every class that drops your jaws. The foreign car manufacturers beat us on price first, then price and quaility. Now we have to beat them with the same stategy. This vette has can do that….and if they do i will take one in dark gray….
lol!v6 tt why would a vette need a mid engine, they have been beating the crap out of euro car since 99 count how many le mans the vette got so far lol the engine is mid front that mean it in the middle frome the front and not the read
it the same thing and the vette got the trany runing in the back of the car, that make the car 50/50 weight distribition
ho by the way the vette just won the 2012 ALMS Long Beach and won 2 class last year on european groud, againt audi,BMW,ferrari
the vette is matching any euro super car,and pleas dont let my say the word 2010 viper ACR the fastest production car whit the nuburing time of 7;12 beating all european car,at they own famous track lol
