These are the first shots of the Lexus LF-A nearing the completion of it’s long period of development. We first saw the car in concept form back in 2005, since then it’s been doing the rounds at many of the top motorshows and has even been spotted testing from time to time. A few new pieces of information can be seen in these spy photos.

The shape of the production car is starting to take place. The rear diffuser may be absent from these photos, however, a new front bumper and new rear lights make up for this. The photos also show that there is some level of interior trim already applied, plus the car keeps the triangle shaped tri-exhaust set-up.

Lexus campaigned the LF-A at the 24-hour Nürburgring race last year and are due to do the same this year. From looking at this car, we can guess that the LF-A will feature a 4.8 litre V8 with between 500 and 600bhp. We speculated that the car will be shown at the Tokyo Motorshow, this appears to still be the case. We look forward to seeing more info on the car…
