We’ve known for a while that the R8 would go topless, these are the latest development mule pictures. It looks like Audi have opted for a fully fabric convirtable folding roof. Previously rumours have been that the R8 will have a targa style roof, these latest pictures put an end to that rumour, however there is still speculation as to how much of the roof will be lost. It seems that the sweeping roofline of the standard car have been lost to accomadate a full drop top in much the same way as the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. We look forward to seeing the rest of the car, for now enjoy these pictures of the car testing at the Nurburgring.
