The Cadillac CTS-V clocked the fastest time for a four-dour saloon car on the Nürburgring a few weeks ago. There was no discussion left that the CTS-V is running on a huge American power engine. Today Cadillac anounced that the CTS-V has a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 under the hood producing a astonishing 564 bhp together with 747 Nm of torque. That power is good for a sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 kmh) in just 3,9 seconds, which makes it faster that a Ferrari F430! The topspeed is limited to 175 mph (280 kmh) which isn’t bad at all.
With all this American power coming over the ocean soon, we hope to see a reaction from BMW’s with it’s M5 or Mercedes with the E63 AMG…
