Thanks to Motor Authority and Schulte Design we now have a rough idea of what a Maserati Gran Turismo Spyder could look like. Maserati bosses have given the go-ahead for the car to be ready for production of this Gran Turismo Spyder by march 2009. It is unclear whether the new car will be canvas roofed or folding metal with spy shots hinting that the car could be the later but one things for sure, Maserati are aiming to make the car as visually impacting as possible.
The specs of the Maserati Gran Turismo convertible should be much the same as the ordinary car, perhaps borrowing more heavily from the Gran Turismo S. As with all cars designed to originally be coupes, the handling and performance will more than likely take hit, but potential customers aren’t likely to care much as style is what this car will mainly be bought for. The image has emerged from the internet which shows what one avid fan believes the car could look like, to be clear the F430 rims will not feature on this car…

Hot! Maserati please take this image and build it!
The car looks good but as said in the article the rims doesn’t fit the car …
This picture was done by a fan who has brilliant photoshop skills, the one in the sourece is what Motorauthority believe the car would look like, I prefer this version… minus the F430 wheels!
I also doubt you would get the door scoops either, very un-maserati!
