Geneva Auto Salon 2008

Three days to go until the Geneva Auto Show opens it’s doors for the public it’s time to give you a little preview of what to expect at this years Geneva Auto Show. There will definatly be a number of juicy new supercar premieres in Geneva. Here’s what’s confirmed so far:

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Spider

A year and a half after the world premiere of the 8C Competizione it’s now time for the premiere of the 8C Competizione Spider.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage & DB9

Both the V8 Vantage and DB9 are facelifted by Aston Martin. The facelift include a number of visual and performance upgrades.

Audi Q7 V12 TDI & Audi R8 V12 TDI Concept

Audi Q7 V12 TDI

Even if the Audi R8 V12 TDI remains a concept Audi will put the V12 TDI engine to good use in the Q7 model. The most powerful Q7 model will have 500 hp under the bonnet and should be able to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 5,5 seconds.

Bentley Continental GTZ Zagato

Designer Zagato build a special version of the Bentley Continental GT called the Continental GTZ.

BMW M3 Convertible

The powerful BMW M3 convertible is back! After spotting an early test mule of the M3 convertible in october you can check out the finished M3 convertible with the 4 litre V8 yourself.

Jaguar XKR-S

Not much is known about the Jaguar XKR-S to date except that it will have a 4.2 litre V8 with 416 hp.

Koenigsegg CCXR and CCX Special Edition

The Swedish supercar manufacturer will show the public two new and extreme supercars in Geneva. The CCXR super-Koenigsegg is running on bio-ethanol which makes it the most exclusive and green supercar you can buy. Only 6 CCXR’s will ever be build.

Lamborghini LP560-4

Watch out for the 560 horses in the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. The additional 4 stands for the permanent four-wheel drive system in the new Gallardo.

Maserati Gran Turismo S

One of the most stunning supercars of the past year will have a new member in it’s family. The ‘sport’ version of the Gran Turismo has 4.7 liter V8 with 440 hp, enough to guarentee a great engine sound and a lot of turning heads!

Mercedes SLK 55 AMG, CLS 63 AMG, SL 63 AMG & SL 65 AMG

SLK 55 AMG Facelift

A lot of new AMG models from Mercedes at the Auto Salon in Geneva the next two weeks. First the facelifted SLK 55 AMG with modified front and headlamps and improved handling dynamics. The CLS 63 AMG also had a little facelifted including new rims, a different front grill and led taillights.

Biggest Mercedes premiere at the Geneva Auto Salon is the new Mercedes SL including two very fast and powerful AMG models. The biturbo V12 65 AMG model has more than 600 hp (612 to be exact) and it’s naturally aspirated little brother the 63 AMG comes with the well known AMG V8 with 525 hp and the all-new AMG speedshift MCT 7-speed sports transmission.

Rolls Royce Phantom Coupé

Rolls Royce will show you the Phantom Coupé in Geneva. More driver-oriented and dynamic than it’s big brother it will try to conquer some of Bentley’s GT market.
