Fisker Karma - Hybrid

On the Detroit Auto Show are a lot of worldpremières. One of them is a new hybrid four-door coupé from Fisker. It’ll be called the Karma and it uses sports advanced technologies such as a lithium-ion battery array, aluminum construction and various driving modes such as Stealth and Sport mode.

Developed exclusively for Fisker is a new Q-DRIVE plug-in hybrid powertrain. The set-up features a small petrol engine turning a generator to power the car’s lithium-ion battery pack.

The new Karma offers up to 50 miles (80 km) of electric driving and a claimed top speed of more than 125mph (200 kmh). The 0-62 mph (100 kmh) takes just 6 seconds.

The Karma will be going into full production without changing anything to it. The first clients will see it on their drive-way late 2009.
